We are committed to empowering community members to grow their own food. We have a demonstration garden at the Food Bank which encourages healthy choices from seed to table!

Free Gardening Classes

Join us for free gardening classes! These workshops are conducted by Yolo County UC Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners.

At Food Bank Demonstration Garden
1244 Fortna Avenue in Woodland

Spring Garden Class
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Come and learn how to grow your very own Spring Garden!

Compost Class
11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Learn how to turn your landscape waste and kitchen scraps into a valuable soil amendment.

Additionally, we support efforts such as Plant a Row for the Hungry, which encourage gardeners to plant an extra row and donate the extra produce to hunger relief efforts.
